County to Sell Real Property at Public Auction
WHEREAS, G.S. 160A-270 authorizes the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County to sell real property at public auction, including electronic public auction, upon adoption of a resolution authorizing the appropriate official to dispose of the property at public auction subject to the Board’s acceptance of the highest bid;

Washington County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution at their regularly scheduled meeting held on Monday, April 5, 2021 declaring a property as Real Property surplus and authorized for the property to be sold by electronic public auction. The county will be using GovDeals, an on-line auction service provider, for the disposal of this property. Any and all sales are subject to final approval by the Board and unless otherwise expressly stated shall contain no warranties or representations with respect to the current conditions or future potential use of any property for any specific purposes whatsoever. Therefore all parties are advised to consult independent legal counsel and conduct their own due diligence prior to making any and all bids for or closing on the purchase of any advertised surplus property.

From May 10-31, 2021, Washington County will surplus Real Property at 758 Spruill Bridge Road- Creswell via GovDeals. Registration is required for bidding.

Surplus Property Advertisement
Washington County Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution at their regularly scheduled meeting held on Monday, August 6, 2018 declaring certain personal property surplus and authorizing for the property to be sold by electronic public auction. The county will be using GovDeals, an on-line auction service provider, for the disposal of this property.

From March 22- April 22, 2021, Washington County will surplus a 2007 Chevy Impala. Registration is required for bidding. All items are sold “as is,” and the acceptable methods of payment are cash, money order, cashier’s check and credit card. Please review the terms and conditions posted on the website before bidding. Washington County Board of Elections Eye-to-Hand Recount of the NC Supreme Court Chief Justice Seat 1
The Washington County Board of Elections will have a hand-to-eye count on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Room, located at 116 Adams Street, Plymouth, NC. It will only be for the race (NC Supreme Court Chief Justice Seat 1) Cheri Beasley and Paul Newby.

Due to the restrictions created by COVID-19, upon entering the County Courthouse your temperature will be checked and you must wear a mask. Only one (1) person will be allowed in the Tax Office at a time. Please be aware that if you wait until the last week of December 2020 or the first week of January 2021 to pay your taxes, you will have a longer wait. You will be allowed to wait in the hallway while practicing social distancing by staying 6 ft. apart. The hours of the Tax Office are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Please take advantage of putting your payment in the Drop Box located outside the entrance to the Courthouse, the option to pay online at officialpayments.com or mail your payment addressed to Washington County Tax Office, 120 Adams Street, P.O. Box 1007, Plymouth, NC 27962. If you have any questions or need assistance please contact the Tax Office at 252-793-1176.
